How To Play

Welcome to the Bezza League! Thanks for entering this season, here are a few instructions on how to play and a little guide around the website.

Once you have logged in, you will be directed to your ‘My Predictions’ page (Shown below). Firstly, and most importantly, you enter your predictions here. The active week is indicated by a little green line on the left hand side of the row. If the week shows ‘Week is now open’ and is in a shade of blue then that week is available for you to enter your predictions. The mobile version and desktop version differ slightly as you will see an ‘Enter’ button on the desktop version. If you are using mobile, then the whole row for that week is the button. You can submit predictions for any week in advance if the weeks ahead have been opened.

After opening the week that you wish to submit predictions for, you will see the below page. Enter a score for each game in that week and click ‘Submit’ at the bottom of that page. Only if you have missed some scores, or you leave a score at 0-0, then you will be directed to a confirmation page where you can double check your selections before clicking ‘Confirm’, otherwise if scores have been input for all matches then you will be redirected back to your ‘My Predictions’ page.

If you feel like you cant decide what scores to submit, you do have the option of selecting a ‘Lucky Dip’ at the bottom of your score sheet, tick the lucky dip box at the bottom of the page and click submit and this will randomly select scores for you, you can fine tune once you have seen your selections. Leave the ‘Email’ box ticked if you would like to receive an email with confirmation of your scores.

You can amend any predictions up until the kick off time of each individual fixture. Just click on the week to take you back to your prediction sheet. Amend your scores and click ‘Submit’ again to change the predictions. Another confirmation email will be sent.

If there are any postponed matches, you still can input a prediction but these games will remain open until the new date has been set. You don’t have to enter a prediction, any games that you don’t submit a prediction for will be shown in the ‘All Outstanding Matches’ option in the menu with your initials shown on it.

Most game weeks will kick off at 12:30pm on a Saturday afternoon, but on some occasions, there might be an early game on a Friday night. Midweek fixtures also apply so be sure to keep an eye out for the games which are coming close to their expiry dates in the ‘All Outstanding Matches’ section. There is a countdown timer which will appear once the games are within 1 week of their expiry time (Kick off).

Once a game week is complete, the colour of the row will turn a light red, with the button on the desktop version turning to ‘Show’. You can view your points for the individual games by clicking back into your scoresheet.

There are 2 main menus within the Bezza League, one icon with 3 lines and the other with your initials. These are explained further below…

This menu is in the top left corner and this is where you can log in/out, go to the ‘My Predictions’ area, check out the cup competitions and see who has won what in the ‘History’ section.

This menu contains All Outstanding Matches, Weekly Scores, League Table, Fantasy Table, Points v League and Profile. Further information into each of these is shown below.

All Outstanding matches – Here is where you can see what games are open and closing soon. It also shows any games that have previously been postponed. This is a good place to check to see if you are missing any predictions.

Weekly Scores – This shows you the top scores and scorers from the week just gone.

League Table – The current league table with your name highlighted for easy identification.

Fantasy Table – This shows the Premier League, but how it looks based on your predictions.

Points v League – Here you can see how you scored against everyone else for each game. If you scored 3 points, you can compare how many others also scored 3 points, or whether they only 1 point or 0 points.

Profile – A number of things in this section including stats from your season/career.

League table – if 2 or more people are on the same points then the person with the most amount of ‘Correct Scores’ will take precedence.

Cups – where a head-to-head format takes place, if 2 people finish with the same amount of points then the person with the person who has predicted the closest amount of goals to the actual goals scored for the matches selected. In the event that the tie still remains a draw then a ‘replay’ will be played on the next set of league fixtures.
