Week 33 Results
Rory Kirk scored 15 points to finish week 33 as top points scorer. Kirk predicted 4 correct scores and 3 correct outcomes to move up 16 places to 10th in the league table.
2016 champion Paul Simpson and Mick Wilson were 2nd at the weekend with 13 points. Both Simpson and Wilson predicted 3 correct scores and 4 correct outcomes. Dave Malpas, Paul Maxwell and Darren Alban were 3rd with 12 points.
The most 3 pointers were picked up in the Everton v Man CIty game as 24 people correctly predicted the 2-0 away win for City. 20 people scored 3 points for Nottingham Forest’s 2-1 win away at Tottenham.
Harris Khan holds on to top spot but his lead is cut to just 1 point as Craig Robinson closes the gap in 2nd. Kev Purves remains in 3rd, 2 points back. Greg Pullinger holds on to 4th, with Chris Gill moving back into the top 5.

Bezza Knockout Quarter Finals
The quarter final draw has been made for the Bezza Knockout this weekend. We have 3 current or former champions still in this seasons competition and looking to be the first person to win the competition twice. Glenn Baker is the reigning champion, looking to go back-to-back. While previous champions Paul Maxwell (2023) and Adam Goode (2022) are both looking to take the title back home.

Bezza Europe Semi Final Results
Steve Chilton will play Brian Baird in the final of this season Bezza Europe competition after they both scraped through their semi final ties. Both players make it through to their first ever Bezza League final of any kind. Chilton came through a close tie with Stevie Docherty and a 4-2 lead from the first leg was enough to see him through after no points were scored by either player this week. In the other semi, Brian Baird made it through on pens (the goals predicted rule) over Sarah Ellis after the tie finished 2-2. All points were scored in the first leg of this tie as well. Both Chilton and Baird are looking at the same situation with their poor league form this season, both looking for a win to qualify for next season’s Bezza Europe.
