The first part of this season’s Bezza Shield is shown below.
This season the Shield will be slightly different. A draw has been made to see who you will play in the first round. Round 1 will be over 2 legs (weeks 4&5) with your total over the 2 weeks combined with the winner moving on to round 2. There are 4 brackets of 32 players with the winners of all 4 brackets going through to the Grand Finals.
16 players in each bracket move on to the 2nd round which will be played on week 6. Quarter finals to take place on week 8, semi finals are on week 10 and the 4 finals on week 12. The Grand Finals to take place from week 14, where the winner of bracket 1 will play the winner of bracket 3 and the winner of B2 to play the winner of B4.
If there are any tied matches then it will come down to the dreaded ‘Goals Predicted’ rule, the person who has predicted the closest amount of goals scored in the selected matches compared to the number of actual goals scored in those fixtures.
The Bezza Shield does not require extra predictions! The Shield will take the points you receiveĀ from your normal league predictions.
