Bezza Cup 3rd Round Results

Craig Robinson was top points scorer for the 3rd round of the Bezza Cup as he qualified for the quarter final with a 12-6 win over Darren Laidler. Paul Hardie was 2nd top with 10 points after he also booked his place in the last 8 with a win over Rory Kirk. The rest of the results are shown below. The quarter final draw will be published soon. Predictions aren’t due until the weekend of the 1st & 2nd March.

Bezza Cup Round 1

The Bezza Cup returns again this season, starting with the Boxing Day fixtures. Adam Campbell is the current champion, can he win back-to-back cup titles, a feat yet to be achieved. The 1st round will be played out over the next 3 gameweeks, with the top 32 players making through to round 2. Everyone will be automatically entered into round 1 and points taken from your normal league predictions, the 32 highest highest scorers over the 3 weeks move on to the 2nd round. Round 2 moves onto the head-to-head format, predicting scores for matches in the FA cup.

Cup Joy For Campbell

Adam Campbell is the new Bezza Cup champion. The win comes in his first season in the Bezza League with Campbell winning the tie by the smallest of margins in a tight contest. The match finished 1-1 with Campbell predicting the correct amount of goals for the 2 matches. Both players predicted the correct outcome for the Man City v Chelsea game, but both surprisingly not getting anything from the Coventry v Man Utd game. Campbell, who still has a shout of qualifying for next seasons Bezza Europe, will be hoping for a strong finish in the league after his cup win. For Aitchison, its a second final defeat in what has been a tough season.
