Official Rules & Prize Structure
⚽ 1. The Competition
The Bezza League is a football score-prediction competition.
Each participant predicts the scores of the selected football fixtures each week. Points are awarded according to the accuracy of those predictions.
The player with the most points at the end of the season is crowned Bezza League Champion.
There are also four separate head-to-head cup competitions:

💷 2. Entry & Prize Fund
- Entry fee: £10 per player
- Number of players: 128
- Total prize fund: £1,280
The prize fund will be divided between:
- Main Bezza League: £900
- Bezza Cup: £60
- Bezza Europe: £60
- Bezza Shield: £60
- Bezza Knockout: £50
- Highest Weekly Score (week 1-19): £25
- Highest Weekly Score (week 20-38): £25
- Most Weekly Wins: £20
- Most Correct Scores : £20
- Most Correct Outcomes: £20
- Spot-Position Prize (33rd): £20
- Spot-Position Prize (85th): £20
Total: £1,280
🥇 3. Main Bezza League Prizes
The top 12 players at the end of the season will receive prize money.

The player finishing 1st will be crowned Bezza League Champion.
🏆 4. The Four Cup Competitions
There will be four separate head-to-head competitions during the season:
🏆 Bezza Cup – A draw will determine who you play in each round. Highest scorer goes through to the next round. Later rounds of this competition uses FA Cup matches for your predictions. Everyone is automatically entered into the cup.
🇪🇺 Bezza Europe – First round group stage for 8 game weeks with top 16 points scorers moving on to round 2 knockout format. Predictions to be made on games from Europe, predominantly Champions League. The top 32 from the previous Bezza League season automatically qualify for Bezza Europe, along with the winners of our other cup competitions (Cup, Shield, Knockout) and the current Bezza Europe champion, all gaining qualification.
🛡️ Bezza Shield – 4 Brackets, each containing 32 players. Draw is made at the start of the competition. The 4 winners of each bracket move in the Grand Finals. Predictions from normal league play are used for the Shield. Everyone is automatically entered into the cup.
⚡ Bezza Knockout – A draw will determine who you play in each round. Highest scorer moves on to the next round. This competition begins on week 30. Predictions from normal league play are used for the Knockout. The bottom 32 active* players in the league are automatically entered. *submitted predictions within the last 3 weeks before competition begins.
The Bezza Cup, Bezza Europe and Bezza Shield will have a £60 prize fund.

Cup winners will be recognised as the champions of their respective competitions.
🏆 5. Highest Weekly Score
A £25 prize will be awarded to the player who records the highest score in any single weekly round between weeks 1-19 and then another £25 prize for weeks 20-38.
The prize is awarded at the end of the season.
Tie-break
If two or more players achieve the same highest weekly score, the £25 prize will be shared equally between them.
For example:
- 2 players tied → £12.50 each
- 3 players tied → £8.33 each
- 4 players tied → £6.25 each
This means every player is treated equally and there is no advantage based on the number of predictions, or any other factor.
⭐ 6. Most Weekly Wins
A £20 token prize will be awarded to the player who records the most weekly wins during the season.
A weekly win means finishing the individual gameweek round with the highest score.
If two or more players finish with the same number of weekly wins, the £20 prize will be shared equally.
This award is intended as a small recognition of consistency throughout the season.
⭐ 7. Most Correct Scores And Outcomes
A £20 prize will be awarded to the player who records the most correct scores (£20) and most correct outcomes (£20) during the season.
If two or more players finish with the same number of weekly wins, the £20 prize will be shared equally.
⭐ 8. Spot-Position Prize
A £20 prize will be awarded to two players who finish in positions 33rd and 85th in the league table.
If two or more players finish with the same number of points and the number of correct scores is also the same, then the £20 prize will be shared equally.
To qualify for this prize, you must have predicted at least 35 out of the 38 weeks (350 Games Predicted minimum). If the person in 85th position does not meet this criteria then the prize will be awarded down to the person in 86th position.
⚽ 9. Match Prediction Scoring
Points are awarded for predicting the scores of the selected fixtures.
Scoring system:
- 🎯 Correct score: 3 points
- ✅ Correct outcome: 1 point
- ❌ Incorrect score: 0 points
For example:
Actual result: 2–1

An exact-score prediction automatically counts as the correct result.
⏰ 10. Prediction Deadlines
All predictions must be submitted before the kick-off of the relevant fixture.
Once a match has kicked off, predictions for that match cannot be changed.
You can, however, continue to submit scores for any fixture before their deadline even if some matches in that gameweek have expired.
You can amend any scores previously submitted up until the kick-off time of that match.
If a player fails to submit a prediction before kick-off, they receive 0 points for that fixture.
📅 11. Postponed & Abandoned Matches
If a match is postponed before kick-off, the prediction will remain valid and will count when the fixture is eventually played, provided the competition organiser confirms that the fixture remains part of that prediction round.
If a match is abandoned or declared void, the organiser may remove that fixture from the relevant round and adjust the scoring accordingly.
The organiser’s decision will be final.
🤝 12. Head-to-Head Cup Rules
The four cup competitions will be played as head-to-head contests.
Each tie will be decided by the players’ scores over the designated cup round.
The player scoring the most points in the relevant round will progress to the next stage.
If both players finish with the same number of points, the following tie-breakers will apply:
- Goals Predicted – the closest amount of goals predicted to the actual goals scored in the selected matches.

3. A replay at the next set of league predictions (In Bezza Europe, predictions may be taken from the next set of Europa League or Conference League matches to settle a tie).
🏅 13. Main League Tie-Breakers
If two or more players finish the season with the same number of total points, the following tie-breakers will apply:
- Most Correct Score predictions
2. Goals Predicted
3. Most weekly wins
4. If still tied, the players will share the relevant league position and prize equally (where applicable).
If prize money is shared, the affected finishing positions will be combined and divided equally between the tied players.
📊 14. Weekly Leaderboard
After each completed round, the Bezza League leaderboard will be updated.
The leaderboard will show:
- Overall position
- Player name
- Total points
- Number of correct scores
- Number of correct outcomes
The leaderboard will be the official record of the competition.
🚫 15. Late Predictions
Predictions submitted after a fixture has kicked off will not count.
The organiser may make an exception only where there has been a proven technical problem with the prediction system affecting multiple players.
Individual internet, phone or device problems will not normally qualify for an extension.
🔄 16. Fixture Changes
If a fixture’s kick-off time changes but the match remains scheduled to take place, the prediction deadline will move accordingly.
Players are responsible for checking that their predictions have been submitted before the revised deadline.
💰 17. Prize Payments
Prize money will be paid following the conclusion of the relevant competition.
Main league prizes will be paid after the final league standings have been confirmed at the end of the season.
Cup prizes will be paid once each respective cup has been completed.
Weekly and special prizes will be confirmed after the season’s final round.

The player finishing with the highest number of points at the end of the season will officially become:

📜 19. Final Authority
The Bezza League organiser reserves the right to make reasonable decisions regarding unforeseen circumstances, postponed or abandoned fixtures, technical problems, disputes and interpretation of these rules.
Any such decision will be made with the aim of keeping the competition fair, consistent and enjoyable for all players.
The organiser’s decision on matters not specifically covered by these rules will be final.
