My apologies for the delay in getting these results out to you, been a busy week!
Week 7 turned out to be the highest scoring week in Bezza League history. 64 people reached double figures!
Paul Maxwell predicted 6 correct scores and 3 correct outcomes to notch the 2nd ever highest score of 21 points. Its a tally that moves him up 77 places to 10th in the league table. 4 people shared 2nd spot last weekend with 18 points, a score that would normally be enough to be the highest of the season. Neil Aitchison, Chris Hay, Darren Laidler and Craig Wilson all predicted 5 correct scores and 3 correct outcomes. 3rd for week 7 was Stephen Barwick with 17 points.
Neil Aitchison remains on top for the 3rd week in a row, extending his lead to 5 points. Andrew Davison, who spent 5 weeks at the top of the table last season, is in 2nd. Ian Gibson is in 3rd place, 3 points further back. Glenn Baker and Mark Patrick make up the top 5 in 4th and 5th respectively.
The most 3 pointers were picked up in the Leeds v Tottenham game as 58 people correctly predicted the 2-1 away win for Spurs. 44 people correctly predicted Newcastle’s 2-0 win over Forest, while 41 grabbed 3 points for Arsenal’s 2-0 win over West Ham.
The Bezza Shield 2nd round will take place when we come back after the international break (Week 8).
