Week 7 Results

My apologies for the delay in getting these results out to you, been a busy week!

Week 7 turned out to be the highest scoring week in Bezza League history. 64 people reached double figures!

Paul Maxwell predicted 6 correct scores and 3 correct outcomes to notch the 2nd ever highest score of 21 points. Its a tally that moves him up 77 places to 10th in the league table. 4 people shared 2nd spot last weekend with 18 points, a score that would normally be enough to be the highest of the season. Neil Aitchison, Chris Hay, Darren Laidler and Craig Wilson all predicted 5 correct scores and 3 correct outcomes. 3rd for week 7 was Stephen Barwick with 17 points.

Neil Aitchison remains on top for the 3rd week in a row, extending his lead to 5 points. Andrew Davison, who spent 5 weeks at the top of the table last season, is in 2nd. Ian Gibson is in 3rd place, 3 points further back. Glenn Baker and Mark Patrick make up the top 5 in 4th and 5th respectively.

The most 3 pointers were picked up in the Leeds v Tottenham game as 58 people correctly predicted the 2-1 away win for Spurs. 44 people correctly predicted Newcastle’s 2-0 win over Forest, while 41 grabbed 3 points for Arsenal’s 2-0 win over West Ham.

The Bezza Shield 2nd round will take place when we come back after the international break (Week 8).

Bezza Europe Matchday 2 results

Bezza Europe’s matchday 2 saw Eddie McAloon finish as top scorer with 13 points. 3 correct scores and 4 correct outcomes moves McAloon up to 3rd in the group table. 6 people notched double figures as Ian Rogerson, Harris Khan, Dan Stewart, Mark Johnson, Aaron Carr and Darren Vowden all scored 10 points. Alex McIsaac holds on to top spot but his lead his cut to just 1 point. Ian Rogerson is in 2nd with Eddie McAloon and Harris Khan sharing 3rd.

Week 6 Results

Rory Kirk predicted 3 correct scores and 3 correct outcomes to pick up 12 points in a low scoring week in the Bezza. Kirk moves up to 11th in the league, only 6 points off the top. 5 people shared 2nd spot as Ricky Froldi, Mark Miller, Mark Summerill, Natasja Ailes and Adam Goode scored 8 points. A further 6 people finished 3rd this weekend with 7 points.

Neil Aitchison holds on to top spot for the 2nd week in a row. Aitchison extends his lead to 2 points over Mark Patrick, Andrew Davison, Ian Gibson and Ian Rogerson with chasing pack being separated on correct scores.

The most 3 pointers were picked up in the Newcastle v Arsenal game as 41 people correctly predicted the 2-1 away win for the Gunners.

Week 5 Results

Andrew Davison, Mark Patrick and Craig Rowell share top spot for week 5. All 3 players scored 13 points with Davison and Patrick predicting 4 correct scores and 1 correct outcome, while Rowell predicted 3 correct scores and 4 correct outcomes.

We have a new leader as Neil Aitchison takes over at the top. Aitchison holds a 1 point lead over a chasing pack of 4 players, including Andrew Davison, Alfie Adams, Ian Gibson and Ian Rogerson. Top 12 only separated by 3 points!

The most 3 pointers were picked up in the Liverpool v Everton game, with 41 people predicting the 2-1 win for Liverpool. 28 people scored 3 points for Burnley’s draw with Forest, with the same amount of people picking up max points for Crystal Palace’s 2-1 win away at West Ham.

The Bezza Shield continues again this week. Second week in the bag, one more week to go to see who makes it into the last 64.

Bezza Europe Matchday 1 Results

Bezza Europe got off to a high scoring start with Alex McIsaac scoring 17 points to take an early lead after matchday 1. McIsaac predicted 4 correct scores and 5 correct outcomes to lead by 3 points. In second with 14 points were debutant Graeme Golledge and Kev Purves, with Ian Rogerson in third on 13 points.

Next up its Bezza Europe. The top 32 from last season compete for European glory. Its game week 1 in Europe and the group stage will run for the 8 game weeks of the Champions League.

Bezza Shield 1st Round

We are back after the international break this weekend. It also signals the start of the Bezza Shield, the first our head-to-head competitions this season. There is a slight change to the format this year, instead of the group stage we will be heading straight into a knockout. Round 1 lasts for 3 weeks and if your 3 week total is more than your opponents, then you move on to round 2. Simple!
You don’t need to do anything else, just your normal league predictions!
