Bezza Cup Semi Final Results

Adam Campbell will play Neil Aitchison in the final of this seasons Bezza Cup. Campbell reaches the final at the first time of asking, having only made his debut in this competition this season. Aitchson reaches his first Cup final, but second overall after a Bezza Shield final defeat back in 2022. 

Both semi final matches were close encounters and couldn’t be separated on points so Campbell and Aitchison came out on top on goals predicted. A tough way to exit the competition at this late stage for Hamilton and Summerill.

There were 17 goals scored in the selected matches.

Bezza Europe Quarter Final Results

Amanda Adams and Steve Kay both came out with the highest tally for the Quarter final matches for Bezza Europe, its a shame they were playing each other. So the tie was decided on the goals predicted rule after it finished 8-8. Adams took the win by 1 goal, predicting the right amount of goals scored. Horrible way to go out for Kay.

Elsewhere, Greg Pullinger is through to his first Bezza Europe semi final after a 7-6 win over Craig Rowell. Phil Ellis beat league leader Chris Wood by the same scoreline and also makes it through to his first semi final. In the final tie of the round, former league and cup champion Tom Beck made it through to his second Bezza Europe semi final after a 6-4 win over Aaron Carr.

The semi final predictions are due for the 30th April. Phil Ellis will play Amanda Adams and Tom Beck faces Greg Pullinger.

Phil Ellis scored 13 points to top the table for week 28. Ellis predicted 3 correct scores and 4 correct outcomes and moves up 18 places to 36th in the league table after his highest tally of the season so far.

Chris Wood remains 5 points clear at the top, ahead Paul Ryder in 2nd. Stevie Fairless jumps up to 3rd but the gap to 2nd in 13 points. Liam McLean returns to the top 5 as he climbs back to 4th. Sarah Cuthbertson drops to 5th.

33 people scored 3 points for the Man Utd v Everton game. 30 people correctly predicted the 2-1 win for Wolves over Fulham. The 1-1 draw between Liverpool and Man City was correctly predicted by 10 people.
