Bezza Europe Last 16 Results

Paul Ryder was top points scorer with 14 points over 2 legs of the last 16 of Bezza Europe to book his place in the quarter final. Ryder beat Eddie McAloon 14-8 to set up a tie with Brian Baird in the next round after Baird beat Darren Vowden 10-8.

Steve Chilton and Liam McLean were 2nd top scorers with 13 points. Chilton beat current Bezza Europe champion Phil Ellis 13-6, while McLean knocked out Simon Bowden 13-7. Chilton and McLean will meet in their quarter final ties. Elsewhere, there were wins for Grant Taylor, Sarah Ellis and Stevie Docherty as they all advance to the last 8. 

Stu Davison and Chris Gill couldn’t be separated so had to go to a replay which was also a tight encounter, with Gill coming out on top 4-3 to go through to face Stevie Docherty in the quarters.

Week 25 Results

Amanda Adams scored 16 points to finish week 25 as top points scorer. Adams predicted 5 correct scores and 1 correct outcome to move up 33 places to 20th in the league table, only 7 points off the top 10.

Dan Brunskill and Stevie Docherty were 2nd this weekend with 12 points, both players predicting 3 correct scores and 3 correct outcomes. Dave Malpas and Alan E Jobling were 3rd with 11 points.

The most 3 pointers were scored in the Leicester v Arsenal game where 38 people predicted the 2-0 win for the Gunners. 17 people correctly predicted the 3-1 win for Bournemouth away at Southampton.

Kev Purves holds on to his lead at the top of the table for a second week, but Sarah Ellis is up to 2nd only 1 point behind. Craig Robinson drops to 3rd, a further point back. Chris Gill climbs to 4th, with Barry Beck back up into the top 5.

Bezza Cup 3rd Round Results

Craig Robinson was top points scorer for the 3rd round of the Bezza Cup as he qualified for the quarter final with a 12-6 win over Darren Laidler. Paul Hardie was 2nd top with 10 points after he also booked his place in the last 8 with a win over Rory Kirk. The rest of the results are shown below. The quarter final draw will be published soon. Predictions aren’t due until the weekend of the 1st & 2nd March.

Week 24 Results

A pretty low scoring week this week, in fact its the lowest scoring week of the season so far. 4 players shared top spot…Stevie Docherty, Rachel Baird, Sarah Ellis and Colin Timney all came out with 8 points. Docherty and Baird predicted 2 correct scores and 2 correct outcomes, while Ellis and Timney both predicted 1 correct score and 5 correct outcomes.

Matt McHugh and David Purves were 2nd this weekend with 7 points. No less than 16 people scored 6 points to finish week 24 in 3rd.

The most correct scores were picked up in Chelsea’s 2-1 win over West Ham as 27 scored 3 points. 8 people scored maximum points for Liverpool’s 2-0 win away at Bournemouth.

We have a new leader! Kev Purves now takes over at the top of the table, 1 point ahead of Craig Robinson. Sarah Ellis is up to 3rd, while Mick Wilson drops to 4th. Carl Collier remains in 5th.

The group stage of this season’s Bezza Europe is now complete. Reigning champion Phil Ellis finishes top of the group as he bids to make it back-to-back titles. Brian Baird finishes matchday 8 as top points scorer with 13 points, making sure of qualification to the last 16. Steve Chilton and Rob Bosher Jnr were 2nd with 11 points. Stevie Fairless, Rachel Hay, Chris Coan, Neil Pearce and Grant Taylor all scored 10 points to finish the week in 3rd. The final group table is shown below, top 16 make it through. Top seeds, 1st-8th, will be drawn against people positioned in 9th-16th and will submit predictions on Champions League games from the knockout phase on 11th/12th & 18th/19th February.
