Smith is looking for his highest finish in the league after his previous best of 12th in 20-21 after this his highest score of the season. Darren Laidler was 2nd this weekend with 13 points. 2 correct scores and 6 correct outcomes moves Laidler up to 56th. 9 players shared 3rd place with 11 points.

Neil Aitchison extends his lead once again as we go into the final 4 weeks, now up to 7 points ahead of Kev Morrison and Glenn Baker in 2nd and 3rd. Kev Booth remains in 4th 7 points further back, with 2023 champion Dan Stewart moving up into the top 5.

The Bezza Cup was won by Sam Hardie this weekend, the second of our competitions now complete. We still have the League, Knockout and Europe to finish. We move on to Bezza Europe this coming week with Alex McIsaac taking on Stevie Docherty in the final.

Hardie Claims Bezza Cup Crown

Sam Hardie is the new Bezza Cup champion! Hardie beat Amanda Adams 2-1 in a close final which was decided by the result in the Chelsea v Leeds FA cup semi final game. Its Hardie’s second piece of Bezza League silverware after his Bezza Knockout triumph in 2021. For Adams, its now down to a strong finish in the league to qualify for europe next season.

Bezza Europe Semi Final Results

Alex McIsaac will play Stevie Docherty in the final of this seasons Bezza Europe. McIsaac scraped past Adam Smith in a close contest that finished 6-6 with McIsaac going through to his first final on the goals predicted rule. In the other semi final, Stevie Docherty beat Dan Stewart 7-4 to make it through to his first Bezza Europe final as well after failing at the semi final stage on 3 previous occasions. 

Final to take place at the end of April with predictions from the semi finals of the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.
